Governor of California = experienced executive.
House of Representatives = not so much.
Jiminy Carter was an experienced executive, Obama wasn't, both are failures.
Reagan was a Governor, Truman was a Senator with some local executive board experience, both are on the positive side of the ledger for President.
My point was that the term 'experienced executive' was not a description you heard about Reagan in the MSM in 1980. You heard him described as a B-movie actor play-acting the role of Governor, pretty much the press Schwarzenegger got.
In the final summary, I think principles count for more than experience.
