NO Conservative should EVER be conformable with a Government official, no matter how well intentioned, demanding the right to inject into children anything without the parent's consent.
There is NO WAY to square Perry's actions here with Conservative values.
The Perry camp would be really wise to stop trying to justify the unjustifiable. Perry is on the right track, he admitted it as an error and moved on. His followers would be really wise to follow his lead on this.
Hey, I agree with you on this but the larger point is why is everyone ganging up on Perry instead of Romney? This is not going to be a big issue in the general unless this thing gets all blown out of proportion.

Except that’s not what’s happening. Perry has used the term “mistake” several times regarding this issue. Normal people don’t usually interpret “I made a mistake” as “justifying” the the act they now characterize as a “mistake.” But when folks decide to hate on a candidate, their interpretation of reality often becomes wondrously inventive.
Perhaps you just made a mistake in the above post and will come on line and concede that. Or perhaps you will be back to “justify” your claim. If you do one, you won’t be doing the other, will you?
