You start the post by saying...you never thought you'd be disagreeing with Rush.

Fair enough....

But then you list other things that apparently you don't agree with too???

That all said....I don't always agree with my best friend, my co-workers, my kids, my dogs, my guns,...and any of the POTUS candidates...let alone Rush.

Rush, has educated millions of folks, including me. He ain't anywhere near perfect, and never will be.

I've disagreed with him a time or two, or twenty....No big deal. That's life.

i’d rather have a president who isn’t afraid to speakiher mind, has a passion for what is right and good than one who mandates dangerus vaccines, pals around with Muslim higher ups, okays teaching Islam in public schools, is soft on amnesty, is a globbalist who finds no fault with NATO. I want my country to be free of parasites, my government overeign, law abiding, and honest. I want our precious freedoms resotred to us, the government skinned to the bone, all career politicians kicked out of office on every level. Now is that too uchy to ask?

Well... he said Perry had problems on his show today.
He warned Perry to apologize for being wrong on immigration and to do it now. Waiting may make things worse. I listen every day... have for years.

I really do not know Bachmann well enough to make comment on what she does and does not do... I did watch last night and I saw politics... the game... down and dirty. Next debate in a couple of weeks had better have plenty of obama bashing in it... because they have got to spend some time explaining exactly why obama is the worst president this Republic has ever endured. They will fight each other some... but they had better start attacking obama... because every time obama opens his mouth... he attacks them and us.

Believe me, Perry is not at the bottom of my list, but his Executive Order, and “requirement” don’t put him at the top of my list either.

February 02, 2007 • Press Release

“AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry today issued an executive order directing the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to adopt rules requiring all girls age 11 and 12 to receive the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine prior to entering sixth grade[/B], effective September 2008.”

Bachmann is effectively out.

The race is down to Perry and Romney. Perry’s so-so performance has made him vulnerable.

If Palin’s focus groups and internal polling tell her that she can take votes away from both Perry and Romney, then she will jump in.

If Palin stays on message with the big issues such as elimination of corporate welfare and corporate taxes, a complete overhaul of the personal tax system, eliminating all energy subsidies and merging the non-nuke part of DOE with the DoInterior and letting the nuke part go to DOD,
etc, then she can draw enough moderates to win. If she flogs the Republican platform, she will bring the Obama supporters over broken glass to vote against her.

I think she is waiting for the new trash book to come out and see if it has any traction.

Perry's problem is being Governor of a state with a 25 million population and a 1500 hundred mile border with Mexico. A state that was helped to be founded by Mexicans - my own city was founded by the “De Leon” family.

It can take a day to travel out of Texas, so I find it silly to hear other Governors of itty bitty northern states, or small populated states, talking about how wrong Perry is when they had nothing comparable to deal with.

Perry didn't create the situation in Texas, he just tries to deal with what he has, plus the fact that the government doesn't do its job to protect the borders.

Perhaps none of the others has been asked the right questions. What would you do with children who have lived their whole lives in the United States, graduated from high school, etc. Would YOU send them across the border now, to live in a country they never lived in?

It's a very, very hard question for most Christians to deal with. Perry needs to discuss this fully with the public.

"Perry mandated Gardasil, but Romney mandated that every one purchase healthcare insurance, which is far worse..."

A difference of degree, not a difference of philosophy.

Bachmann may have "not done herself any favors" by bringing up the Perry/Guardisil issue, but it certainly has a LOT of folks on a LOT of sites talking about it (and the illegals issue) today.

Who knows what will ultimately become of these issues (for Perry) but the dialogue has changed regarding government mandates, crony capitalism and illegals receiving benefits, IMO.

Agreed, but Bachman has been campaigning hard against ObamaCare, saying it is the biggest threat to liberty and she went way easier on Romney who passed RomneyCare - just seems like she is pandering to Romney and I expected better than that from her.

This is a serious issue, and Perry and Rush are on the wrong side of it. I know why with Perry. But, with Rush, I don’t know why. Unless he’s been ‘smitten’ by Perry. I hope he wakes up soon. Because, he’s going to find himself on the wrong side on a lot crap that this guy has been pulling the last 10 years. And the heat won’t be coming from leftists either.

“I definitely think Rush wants to kick the jackass out of office.”

Good on you! That is exactly what he wants to do!

He will do it with the best candidate we have, whoever that is.

That is why Rush, nor any of the other talk show hosts, endorse a candidate.

Though, I wish they would. ;o)

Thanks, dc2k.

I’m liking Cain more each day. He’s mature, hangs above the fray, has sound ideas, and he’s not a career politician!

I have loved Herman Cain ever since he was primarily responsible for derailing Hillarycare.

If he isn’t able to be the Republican nominee, I’m sure there’s room in the cabinet for him.

ILLEGAL means ILLEGAL... THEY ARE MEXICAN... I WOULD SEND THEM TO MEXICO! What part of ILLEGAL do you not understand... losing argument to try to use that leftard “they have been here for years”... they have been here BREAKING LAWS FOR YEARS... THEY ARE ILLEGAL INVADING ALIENS... and I would do exactly what Ike did... I'd run their asses back to their world. You act like these are great Americans... they are passing blacks in all crime statistics... gangs are a huge problem... drugs are a major problem... and everywhere they go death and despair follow... and then there is la raza and the reconqusita movement... seditious and traitorous. This is America... I do not care if they are here for 5,000 years... THEY ARE NOT AMERICANS and they are here in VIOLATION of our Sovereignty.

'experienced executive' - means little or nothing to the electorate, or they would not have elected Obama (not that his opponents were much better, Hillary or McCain).

Jiminy Carter was an experienced executive, Obama wasn't, both are failures.

Reagan was a Governor, Truman was a Senator with some local executive board experience, both are on the positive side of the ledger for President.

My point was that the term 'experienced executive' was not a description you heard about Reagan in the MSM in 1980. You heard him described as a B-movie actor play-acting the role of Governor, pretty much the press Schwarzenegger got.

In the final summary, I think principles count for more than experience.
