My “side” is that there was an opt-out option that was a part of the press release from the desk of the governor the introduced the EO.
So, my “side” can also be called “factual”, since I linked the press release. I'm not sure what people want. Perry's original statement mentioned an opt-out; it's not like it was hidden or not mentioned.

I saw the press release. I'm asking if, when parents brought their daughters in to get the shots, were they advised that they could opt out? A disclaimer form, maybe?
Or was it assumed that the parents saw the press release and decided to get the shots anyway?
