The citations you refer to comprise a discussion of the meaning of the term "Christ" applied to Jesus. Your paraphrase of 2 pages of discussion down to "Jesus was not the Christ," is simply incorrect. A much more accurate paraphrasing is that Christ is the job title that that Jesus, the son of God, filled.

This is not orthodox Christian doctrine. Jesus is still in His glorified body with the scars of the crucifixion. Everything you cited is the theological equivalent of psychobabble which is a consistent hallmark of a cult.

Martin Luther was unorthodox, too. See, for example, Sola Fide. Disagreement between sects on points of faith does not negate the Christianity of one sect or another.

Consider also the unorthodoxy of Jesus' own teachings. For example, "Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you" (Matt 5:44) is a major departure from Mosaic law.

On it's face, this passage seems the sort of inane feel-good unreasonable tripe which would just invite more enemies, curses, despiteful use, and persecution. As you might say, psychobabble in light of common belief at the time; and yet, this is a core precept of Christianity. Is Christianity then a cult?
