Palin takes aim at GOP presidential candidates
The Hill ^ | September 12, 2011 | Josh Lederman

Palin even went as far as to lend her voice to the charge leveled by Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) during the debate against Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R): That he allowed a law to go though requiring HPV vaccinations for adolescent girls because of a $5,000 campaign donation and his relationship with his former chief of staff, who went on to lobby for a pharmaceutical company.

"I knew there was something to it," Palin said of learning while she was Alaska's governor that her Texas counterpart had given the go-ahead to the vaccine. "Now we're finding that now, yea, something was up with that issue. It was an illustration or bit of evidence of some crony capitalism."

Not my wish at all.

Palin has been so toasted by the media and her own actions she’s a detriment to the 2012 ticket.

Perry / Rubio would be our best ticket at this point, IMHO.

Libs act on concerns. Conservatives act on proof.

So are you gonna start a “What did Palin know and when did she know it? thread to satisfy your desire to slam her?

I know it must suck trying vainly to justify your PDS, kinda like an addict telling people they can stop anytime, but again, spare us. You just look foolish.

She knows she can't have the nomination and she's missing 3 huge target audiences....blacks, the youth vote and hispanics.

First of all, polls at this stage of the game are laughable, regardless of who they say is ahead; I think it is wise to ignore ALL polls, even ones that validate candidates I like. Polls at this stage in 2007 gave McCain virtually zero chance, and it was basically common knowledge that Hillary was going to be the Dem nominee. Polls are wasted effort except in that they are manipulated and used to manipulate expectations. The smart person takes all polls with very large servings of salt.

Second -- Ah ... er, I know this is strictly anecdotal. But when my formerly liberal sis-in-law went to see Palin in Nevada a few years ago, she expected to see mostly baby-boomer and older folks there. She was very much surprised to see a whole lotta young people there.

Palin, if she runs, will be the ONE candidate who will inspire independents and crossovers to vote for her in droves. Her political approach transcends conventional R vs. D contexts, and that is why her appeal, should she run, would bring in many "Palin Democrats" and scores of young folks who recognize and respect someone who actually IS WILLING to buck the establishment.

Palin made the claims, not me. Her actions certainly don’t mesh with her words, at least regarding Perry’s crony capitalism.

LOL! PERFECT!!

FR needs a ‘padded cell’ for those whiners and their obsession of her.

Reagan can enter in November but Sarah MUST...conform to their wishes. They all have control issues. Lock the cell and throw away the key until 2020 when they can vote for their RINO of choice.

>> How many "candidates" are ACTUALLY paid $1,000,000 by the News Media??<<

So a private citizen, who is not now a candidate, who is not now in public office can’t have a job? Really? Are you really a conservative?

Why isnt optout enough of a right of not following common-sense public health vaccination policies?

Because it's backwards. It makes the default the gov't choice and the partent's decision to "opt out" is secondary.

You're putting your faith in the gov't policy rather than in parents to make the right decision when you assume that parents will tend to choose to put their children at risk and not vaccinate their children. What good parent would sit back and watch "children die" (your scare tactics, not mine) and wonder why the gov't didn't do something to save them from themselves.

If you’re implying that Palin is in only doing what she’s doing and saying what’s she saying because Fox is paying her, than you are questioning her integrity.

Such is life as an active and paid member of the media. I question all media-types and take what they say with a grain of salt.

I'm getting kind of a kick out of this," Palin said, claiming that the day after she brings up an issue, she notices the candidates adopt that issue in their stump speeches. "It's like come on candidates, it's about time you started talking about that."

What are her intentions/reasonings behind the words she speaks on air? Her actions with relation to Rick Perry belie her words last night, so I ask, what is her role?

” Perry never advocated “forcing” anyone to get a Gardasil vaccination......”

Then why sign RP65 in the first place?

Looks like a case of wanting your cake and eating it too. The “opt out” was a “cop out” for Perry and other pols, plain and simple......plausible deniability to any later charges/opposition........

Haven’t we seen enough of this kind of political chicanary?

As for the “paltery” $4,000. everyone knows that it was a down payment.....a show of earnest money.......a gift with a promise to keep on giving......

Come on now, I didn’t fall off the turnip truck yesterday.....did you?

Try to keep up. Liberals act on ‘concerns’ and conservatives act on ‘proof’.

There is plenty of proof that you are a PDS troll with plenty of posts to cack it up.

I have yet to see a problem with Paling not going liberal and condemning someone based on (at the time) ‘some’ evidence.

But I’m sure her backing Perry regardless is a far more serious matter than Guardisil, TTC, LaRaza, Muslim butt kissing or any of Perry’s many lapses in judgement. /s

The fact is there was an opt-out. Yes, it was a mistake by Perry, and yes, he admits it was a mistake. These things happen when you have over a decade of executive experience, and I for one was glad to see Perry show he learned from that mistake.

You and Palin can spin it anyway you want, but clearly Palin had no major issue with this last summer when she was rah-rahhing for Rick Perry. I can only assume Palin had an ulterior motive when she slimed Perry last night.

LOL! You just proved you are an eater of the propaganda pablum! Not too much thinking going on upstairs for that crowd.

The media got obama in because of the clueless crowd who feeds off of their plate! Consider yourself a victim of poison propaganda as you regurgitate it here with your posts. Garbage in, garbage out!

“Yes, it was a mistake by Perry, and yes, he admits it was a mistake.”

Well, at least you admit that much. Most won’t.

She is a employed commentator by Fox News. It is her present job. Like all commentators they do express their opinion.

Get over it!
