PALIN: Yes, I was pleased. I was very happy with it. Let me go back to that issue with Governor Perry. I was governor of Alaska at the time that that issue came down, and I told our health and human services department Alaska was not going to mandate immunizations for our teenage daughters. And there had to have been something to that whole issue because it just didn't sound like Governor Perry. Governor Perry was, you know, the proverbial anti-government type of maverick there in Texas, and yet on this issue, he decided that he was going to know better than a parent was going to know in terms of what the health care or health benefit would be for their teenage daughters. So I knew there was something to it. And remember when the media went a little bit crazy and demanded to see my 25,000 e-mails that I had written during my term as governor. In those e-mails, there is proof of there that the issue arose while I was governor of Alaska. And the e-mails reflect my -- my principle there was, No, government, stay out of the lives of family decisions like that, and do not tell a parent that their daughter must be immunized. So we know. I knew even at that time something was up with that issue, and now we're finding that, yes, something was up with that issue. And it was a -- it was kind of an illustration or a big of evidence of some crony capitalism.

Right here Palin said she was well aware of Perry's corruption on HPV while she was still Gov, yet she endorsed him heartily for his Gov run a year later. Seems like there is either some deficiency in Palins judgement or she really didn't think this was an issue of corruption. Something doesn't add up here based on Palins own words last night.

No, she said that something seemed odd and not to add up about his Gardasil push back when she was governor. I highly doubt she knew the further details she knows today.

Likely the same with his mega-slush fund in which he picked technology “winners” just like Obama picks environmental “winners” now nationwide.

As to her endorsement of Perry, that was against Kay Bailey Hutchison, a go-along, get-along RINO. Texas is still probably better off for Palin’s endorsement on that one.

Yes you are correct. However, we have to take a person’s entire record and potential into account. That means we have to judge how much weight to give to each issue. Look at how many people are willing to not give much weight to Romney’s tyranny of a health care law. I think that outweighs Perry’s vaccine outrage.

Thanks to forums like this one, we are free to bring up past issues and advocate how important or not they should be in the vetting of each candidate.

"Right here Palin said she was well aware of Perry's corruption on HPV while she was still Gov, "

Uh, so where is the part in the email about Merck and Perry's Chief of Staff and any contributions?

The email referenced his judgement (which could have been honest after all) that this vaccine mandate was necessary and she was disagreeing with THAT, not crony capitalism, since there was no evidence (at least in the email) of her knowledge at that time of the Merck link.

"....and now we're finding..." means she did not know of the Merck link before.

Yeah, and she ran with McCain too.

So she should have only endorsed people in 2010 who were flawless? There is no one who fits that bill. She was supporting the best of the field at the time to try and make the Congress and as many governorships as conservative as possible. That doesn’t mean that she agrees with and/or supports every single action a candidate has ever done or ever will do. I have no problem with her supporting Perry for Gov, because what was the alternative to him? Geesh!

So far I have seen no evidence of corruption. WHERE IS THE CORRUPTION?

Palin is overdoing this idea of crony capitalism. She's pretending she is Mrs. Perfect while everyone else is corrupt. She inferred it in her film when they showed photos of Boehner, Cantor and McConnell but she has never shown one bit of evidence they are corrupt.

I see no evidence of Perry's corruption either.

Or maybe she simply wasn’t aware of the details. Or perhaps you’re simply being disingenuous.
