I would like to think he would run circles around this group of jokers right now, but to be honest, more likely then not, a big chunk of freepers would probably call him a Rino and another group would be tearing him down because he isn't Governor Palin or Ron Paul or whomever.
He had the 11th commandment, which seems to have been replaced with the newest commandment, "Thou shall call any republican a RINO that speaks about another republican other then Palin positively"......(and I actually like Governor Palin and want her to run).

But let’s face it ... there was no Free Republic then, either... both of my parents were alive ... and my father worked for him...
Everyone’s polarized. He would take the best from the best and ignore the rest.
And on Free Republic, that’s what I do.
I don’t bear anyone ill will. I read the posts and take the wisdom and leave the stupidity alone (most of the time.)
Sometimes I just laugh at the flame wars.
Reagan dealt with having to understand that socialism is with us. (It’s more vocal now)... and Reagan dealt with people telling him that he should never negotiate with the USSR because you could never trust them.
I really don’t see a Reagan out there. We NEED a Reagan ... or a candidate that will consult Reagan-era trusted or trained voices.
