It wasn’t “torture” until fools like McCain allowed the term to be redefined to include techniques that do no injury at all.

No it was torturous to vote of you Sir. So I did not vote for you. I voted for Sarah Palin and hope to be able to have the privilege to do it again soon.

Defining things as torture, McCain just came up with his own standard.
For political reasons....torture can be described as making them listen to loud music, standing in the corner, what about throwing cold water on your face to keep you from sleeping?
I wouldn’t be surprised if they say locking someone up is torture in the future.

Sorry, John, but you cannot be an objective observer given your history, Not a slam, just fact. What you and your fellow prisoners went through was unimaginable. However, it was done with cruelty as the objective; concern for physical well-being of the subject was non-existent. No rational observer would equate what you experienced to enhanced interrogation performed in the face of an existential threat. You are not that rational observer.

Sigh.... and they attacked us before any supposed torture why?? They haven’t successfully attacked us since 9-11 why?? Nothing we have done even remotely approaches what he and his fellow POW’s went through and has SAVED countless lives in the bargain.
Perhaps if the leakers out there would have kept their mouths shut and the word of our dastardly panties on the head torture of prisoners never got out we wouldn’t still be discussing this nonsense.

Having Juan as the GOP 2008 candidate was torture.
It gave us Obama.
Having a photo taken with panties on my head would have been better. LOL

Sad and disappointing that McCain, who endured real torture, would equate elevate the Abu Graib incidents with that.

Idiots like McCain conflating our “enhanced interrogation” with torture hurt us.
There is a huge difference between what we do and what people who engage in ACTUAL torture do.
Thus people on our side should always differentiate.
McCain was tortured and still carries the wounds decades later.
After a session of waterboarding a jihadist would be perfectly physically able to play a rousing game of racket ball.

There are ways you can disagree with your country without exalting yourself and making it all about your moral superiority—but McCain always avoids them.
