Perhaps. It could give 4 years of Romney or 4 years of Palin.

60% of the electorate is moderate to liberal. 40% is conservative. If she were able to have the 2 libs, Obama and Romney, split the mod/lib vote while she kept the conservative vote she would win.

If Perry or some other conservative were the Republican nominee, then that would not work. She would be splitting the conservative vote.

So, it would be possible.

I personally don't like the odds and feel that gambling in that manner is dangerous now because the stakes are too high.

If governor Palin does not jump in the race before Iowa caucuses, and preferably before thanksgiving, it will be way too late after that.
