While securing the border is essential, it alone will never be sufficient to stop the invasion and occupation by illegals for several reasons.
1) Nearly half of the illegals in our country came here legally admitted for temporary stays but never left.
2) As long as the magnet of American jobs and social services are available a border fence will only lower the number coming, but millions will be smuggled in the same ways as illegal drugs (ex. In freight shipments, by boats and through hidden tunnels). Look at illegal alien smuggling from Africa into Europe when their is no common border.
The failure of Reagan's comprehensive "Immigration Reform & Control Act" of 1986 was that the non-Amnesty half of the bill that cracked down on employment of illegals was never seriously implemented. And that failure gave us the 12-20 million illegals we have today.
If the "costs of doing business" is promoting the invasion and occupation that is destroying America's sovereignty and future - let that business fail!

It will be another expensive mandate on ALL businesses already tired of excessive regulations from the federal govt. The feds need to own up to their problem, prevent these guys from coming in the first place and shouldn’t turn businesses into unpaid border control agents.
Having said that, the govt shouldn’t be giving welfare to illegals. Many would leave if they were denied the free goodies. Heck, many real Americans would also leave if they couldn’t get welfare anymore.
