As you have stated before, Governor Perry has no one to blame but himself for the message breakdown. While he MAY has said something about reforming SS in the debate is was so demonstrative in defending his use of the “Ponzi” term, that was the only memory the watcher was left with.

I would agree with that. The others including Palin, know that it is a touchy subject and has to be addressed carefully so as not to scare voters away.

We won’t be reforming anything if we don’t win elections.

Perry doesn’t want to adjust the message yet. It’s garnering him FAR too much free press from all the air-time and articles written about it.

I think I’ve seen over 15 articles written about Social Security since the debate. All of which reference Perry.

As long as the issue doesn’t become a weight against him, he’s not really going to do anything about the ‘message’. Now, after the primaries are over, he’ll most likely do something about the ‘message’.
