From what I've read here on other threads and in other media sources it's not the rosewood itself that is the problem. It's the fact that under Indian law it must be finished in India. It has to be a completed fretboard prior to being sent here. On the other hand, from what I am reading the other guitar manufacturer are doing exactly the same as Gibson. Me thinks this is everything to do with the party affiliation of Gibson versus the others especially C.F. Martin. I will never own another Martin. I'd sell my D18 if I still had it. A small protest from one highly aggravated American.
