Norfolk Southern just had a crew of ~100 and 30-40 machines tuning up the old Michigan Central route tracks west of Dexter last week. Looked like they could only do about 1 to 2 mi of track/day. That HS train stuff of the 1800’s future will be here any day now.
Meanwhile something on the order of 40% is skimmed off the top of highway funds after the leeches in Washington bled social security dry.
