Agreed, but the steel post holding the brass bristles can possibly cause damage if the rod or brush flexes.
But we are talking Mosins here. The darned things can take a heck of a lot of abuse!

The PF-9 is the same locking breach design. It’s a little thinner than the P-11 because it’s a single stack mag (7 + 1 versus 12 + 1).
The PF-9 does have a lighter trigger pull (5 lbs vs. 8 lbs on the P-11)
