The fact that you don't see it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
I followed Perry threads from the beginning and am very supportive of honest efforts to vet all candidates. Perry included. But I noticed a few posters were obsessively posting the most negative Perry stories they could find. Even when it was politely pointed out that some were untrue, they persisted. They weren't vetting, they were intentionally smearing. I decided to research the posting history of several, and found they were enthusiastic Ron Paul cheerleaders, even openly declaring their intent was to destroy Perry. And yes, also using Palin as a "cover". An occasional mild Palin endorsement, but page after page of detailed defense of Grand Poobah Paul.
Don't believe it, fine. Do your own research. Just don't be surprised if you dig deep enough into the history of a few of the raging Perry anti-fanboys you won't discover some "Paul is just misunderstood" postings.
Some of the Paul supporters here on FR realize they have to fly under the radar in order to continue posting privileges. And since some are looking at the straw poll as validation of their political relevance, they are more aggressive, and stealthy, than ever in their efforts to push the Official Nut of Texas.
