Welcome to FR... I’ve been a LONG time lurker, but a more recent participant (like you), and found that many here love to get lazy about facts and logic and simply resort to “n00b shut up” type approaches - the appeal to seniority as a method of validation of position.
That strikes me more as a hard-core, Leftist union approach, but here on FR - it passes as sound reason for some!
