Clinton started out his speech with references to himself and Hillary.

But I'm willing to forgive that because Clinton at the end of his speech did commit to raising the funds needed to complete the Flight 93 memorial.

And Biden actually was very gracious towards Bush's 9-11 response.

I'm sure that had heads imploding over at DU.

You are very gracious.

So Clinton used another occasion to draw attention to his ‘humanitarian’ work. He could have quietly donated the money needed - from his and Hilary’s stash. He is such a POSeur.

$75.6 million - That's how much money former President Clinton has made for speaking engagements over the past decade, according to a CNN report of his financial records

$10.7 million - That's how much bacon Clinton brought home from his speeches in 2010 alone

Clinton could sign a check for the rest of it today. A lot of these speeches are given to foreign muslims, who consider the hefty price tag a way of buying influence with a major American power broker.

I found them all very moving. Clinton and Biden are both 10 times the man that currently occupies the oval office. They both gave Bush credit for all that he did, very statesmanlike. I was so glad Zero wasn’t there to ruin the whole effect.
