I disagree with you. All laws have unintended consequences. There are ways to deal with problems other than more laws. ALL laws encumber us.

I'm inclined to agree with PARTS of what you wrote above. For example, I might make an exception for laws that encumber entities that are not civilians -- e.g., laws that limit how a policeman can order you to stand ready for a house search, might be a net-freedom-enhancer, would you not agree with that?

I am not an anarchist and I don't think you are either.

I stand by the statement that “ALL laws encumber us.” Because that is true, we need to be very careful with laws.

I can see a time how your above proposal could set the standard for house searches and make it EASIER. “They” will meet the technicality of this law but still do what they want.

We as conservatives have to get past this this idea of “there out to be a law” because they are used against us in the end.

What are the alternatives besides passing another law and feeling like we did something? (that is what libs do and never solve the problem)

We have to view laws as slavery, not freedom..................
