The paint job looks a little hasty.
Not sure how it helps their C2.
I think I see an antenna, that must be the BN CDR’s Tank.
This is the new tank.
Looks like the Abramski blew that boxcar right off its trucks.
The paint job looks a little hasty.
The paint won’t kill another tank.
I would have thought it had wider tracks. That’s a lot of topside decoration to scrape off the first time it drives through a barn.
Sukhoi, I have read a lot of criticism of the Indian Army’s T-90. Is this all justified ? Can the Arjun MK II really be superior to it? And is a Leopard really 1/3 rd the cost?
The T-90 is a modernised variant of the T-72 and was hence primarily designed for mobility as opposed to survivability unlike its western rivals. So you have ammo stored in the main compartment, lower armour and poorer ergonomics since a lot of electronics/systems have to be cramped into a much smaller space unlike the Arjun. The Arjun even the Mk1 form is superior in several respects to it; we know little about the Mk2.
The only reason why the Indian army seems intent to be continuing with the T-series is that it has developed a whole framework of training, operating and maintaining medium tanks with 3 man-crews and 125 mm guns. You would need new training regimes, logistics lines and what not for a ton tank like the Arjun which has 4 crew and a 120mm rifled bore gun.
The latest generation of Russian designed deathtraps.
I’ve seen a pics of Putin inside it and looks like an improvement. LCD screens, computers etc.
Moscow could buy three German Leopard tanks for the price of one T-90S.................................. Vy buy it ven you dey kan drive 1000’s to Moscow free? Und nechts time, no more Mr Nice guy! LOL (Sorry I could not resist that.)
Looks like it was painted with a torch.
C’mon. ‘Soviet junk myth’ is just one of liberal lies carefully misenterpreting ME wars’ facts to sabotage military funding.
Lots of bells and whistles topside.
Did they do anything with the armor?
Bet it’s still got the Honda scooter horn.
It looks like they painted it with a blow torch.
All the equipment on the top of the turret really increases its profile.
Front of the turret makes a nice shot trap.
Too, the Arjun is designed for the environment India expects it to function in. The border region of India/Pakistan is a flat, arid plain. No place to hide anyway, so they built the Arjun heavy so it can live longer.
