It never even occurred to me that anyone would judge those who jumped. It wasn’t really “suicide,” I mean, they were going to die either way. It was just a matter of fall or be burned. How can someone judge a person who was given the choice Fall or Burn and picked Fall?

It never occurred to me either. Ten years and it never crossed my mind. A person would have to be a real "holier than thou" to judge those who jumped.

I have always been of the opinion that those that jumped did so because they were going to die on their own call. They were going to go out on their terms, not some body else’s. They did not committ suicide. Beside the fact they were escaping the fire, they died on their terms.
