There always are a few, and they now have to be wondering at what point do they raise hell or become a silent co-conspirator to crimes they swore to prevent.

But law enforcement all over the country, at every level, has turned into just another civil service job. Nothing but a paycheck and a pension. Where I used to work the motto was...”you can’t get in trouble for doing nothing”. If someone questions something and their supervisor says don’t worry about it, guess what, they’ll worry about their plans for the weekend and their cushy job. Sad, but true.
