Former Playboy Playmate Shoots Husband, Feeds Him Plastic Baggie, Goes to Jail
By Lauren Lloyd in News on September 7, 2011 4:20 PM
Victoria Rathgeb, also and probably better known as Angela Dorian, pleaded no contest today to attempted voluntary manslaughter. The 1968 Playboy Playmate of the Year shot and wounded her husband in their Hollywood apartment complex in October 2010.
**SNIP**
The 66-year-old vicious vixen has been sentenced to nine years in jail by L.A. Superior Court Judge Barbara Johnson.
Her husband of 25 years, Bruce, has since recovered from the incident. It went down like this. Bruce left the couple's apartment on October 16 after Rathgeb accused him of cheating on her. While Bruce waited for the elevator door to open, Rathgeb shot him from a distance of about eight feet. Angry wifey proceeded to shove a small plastic bag in Bruce's mouth, which he spit out as she returned to their apartment. Bruce's injuries included a shot close to the heart, resulting in a 4-inch scar above his left pectoral muscle and the inability to move any fingers on his left hand.

Oh, yeah, like YOU just read the articles. Riiiight... :-)
I had a 1968 Javelin, couldn’t afford an AMX. Like you, I loved it. The glove box was bigger than the trunk, but it could move.
Ever see the beginning of a movie called “Middle Men”?
They nail it.
I would've gone with 'gravity' but that's a pretty good answer.
The problem with the AMX, as cool as it was, was that it was not practical enough. It was a two seater.
But there was also nothing like it. Nothing.
I posted the story on the original shooting. It became a car thread too.

I’ll have you know that because of a Vega vs Pinto article in Playboy I ended up buying a Vega GT. I absolutely read the articles!
Too.
What a crappy car, btw...
Gawd...why do they do that? She (Raquel Welch) has natural beauty despite a few wrinkles. But she looks just awful with the plastic surgery.
...no idea whatever became of her; she never showed at any reunions.
No, I missed “Middle Men”. Just watched a youtube trailer though... I think I get the picture.
“Leave me alone for the next fifteen minutes...”
I would have shot my husband years ago if it weren’t for the fact that I vowed I would never go to jail because of him. I grit my teeth, say the Rosary instead.
Could be worse, we could be reading about you and a baggie...
They talk about the rich human history of doing, well, you know, all the time showing pictures of the likes of Lincoln, Washingtone, etc.
It was a sort of, “c’mon, we ALL do it”. But this conversation is digressing fast...
I really love documentaries. Especially stylized ones. Casino is one of my favorites. Middle men is in that same vein, but neither is really family friendly, especially the latter.
I should have been clearer. Neither of those movies is a “documentary”, per se, but good “docudramas”. The main character in Casino was actually a conglomeration of characters, though he is a real guy and it was mostly true. Still alive I believe.
Well, maybe not *everyone*... but the exceptions prove the rule.
Thanks for the docudrama tips.
