The Republican side of the House floor burst into laughter during President Barack Obama's big jobs speech on Thursday when he said his plan "isn't class warfare."
They also didn't take to kindly when President Obama name-dropped billionaire Warren Buffet, who he said "pays a lower tax rate than even his secretary -- an outrage he has asked us to fix."
"I mean, well yeah Warren Buffett, gimme' a break!" Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) later exclaimed. "I mean we find out his business is four billion in the rears [sic] on taxes, and he goes public and says 'hey I'm all for more taxes, I don't pay enough taxes.' Pay what you owe, how about that! Four billion dollars -- think about what that could do, the jobs that could provide, and the money could be applied towards the deficit."
I bite the bullet and watched this fiasco but I’m glad I did. The reactions of the democrats during his election speech were priceless.
As the camera panned across the democrat side, the majority of his party looked as if they were attending a funeral. When obama paused for applause, the dems responded with just obligatory and weak clapping.
When the signal came to stand up and applaud they looked like they all had developed leg cramps from sitting too long.
Even ol’ bite me biden, who is usually animated and flashing his gleaming white denture work, sat passive and applauded lightly.
When the ‘hoot and holler’ section tried to get the party more enthusiastic, even THAT didn’t work. They just sounded like a group of misfit activist protesters.
Nice try Bammie but you won’t get another best chance to re-new your image.
How the Hell did you come with that one?
I planned to watch but when I went to the TV and heard his voice, I remembered that I needed to take the trash out or feed the dogs or re arrange my sock drawer and when I came back, it was over. That always happens.
Hope you’re right, and Gomhert was sarcastic...
Sure did.....pure hateful look!.....
TAX TAX TAX TAX TAX SPEND SPEND SPEND SPEND SPEND
Delivered in the 1960’s angry black man routine.
Warren Buffet has brought up his tax rate before & when folks tell him to get out his check book & write a check to the IRS & he goes silent or makes excuses.

I don’t know when the IRS changed the rules or if they did, but....
If a CEO like Buffet creates wealth for the company through his brilliance, he HAS TO TAKE A SALARY COMMENSURATE WITH HIS CONTRIBUTION TO THE BOTTOM LINE.
In Buffet’s case, I would say that his taxable salary should be at least $200M/yr.
