Thanks for exposing the nonsense. Weren’t hispanos the majority in Arizona and NM until the 1940s? Arizona was still a territory in 1911. The governor’s grandfather wasn’t breaking the law by crossing into the U.S. at that time, I’m fairly sure.

Census information *is* confidential. For 72 years. Then it’s published.
The 1930 Census was released to the public in 2002. The 1940 Census is due to be released next year. Genealogists are counting down the days.
I don't know about the 1940's, but they are now the majority in NM.
Census information is, as with all other government forms, confidential as long as those with access want it to be.
