So, here’s what Obama’s new army of union thugs does in its spare time when not attending rallies:


Hundreds of Longshoremen stormed the Port of Longview early Thursday, overpowered and held security guards, damaged railroad cars, and dumped grain that is the center of a labor dispute, said Longview Police Chief Jim Duscha.

Six guards were held hostage for a couple of hours after 500 or more Longshoremen broke down gates about 4:30 a.m. and smashed windows in the guard shack, he said.

No one was hurt, and nobody has been arrested.

Wait. What? They took hostages and destroyed property and no one was arrested? Oh, did I mention they threatened a cop:

One sergeant was threatened with baseball bats and retreated, Duscha said. “One officer with hundreds of Longshoremen? He used the better part of discretion.”

And no union story is complete without death threats:

The blockade appeared to defy a federal restraining order issued last week against the union after it was accused of assaults and death threats.

Unions. What would we do without them?

I’ve seen other threads about this story but missed some of the details presented here.

I think I get it now. Nobody was arrested today. They couldn’t be. Not enough cops. But as with other riots in other places in the country and the world, “known participants” will get a knock on the door at a time of law enforcement’s choosing. And they will do it with reversed odds.

To be fair about this, longshoreman have alway been a violent group for over a hundred years, this isn’t anything new.They seem to always get their way and the cops are scared of them.
