The workers felt they were faced with an untenable proposition and did the right thing by walking out, which is their right and is the honorable thing to do in such a situation.

Horse****. The "honorable thing" if you are in a job situation you don't like is to resign with proper notice. A concerted walkout planned for one of the busiest nights of the year is a lot of things. It most certainly isn't the "honorable thing to do".

Your points about regulation and taxation are not lost on me, but the workers deserved to get fired.
