No, I don’t think anywhere uses the same science as Joseph Chu, a once-notorious scientist at the defunct, discredited Houston Crime Lab. At least 7,000 untested rape kits dating back to the 90’s have been found since it was shut down (for the second time) in 2006. Dallas is at least making an effort...22 exonerations since the new DA took office, I believe.
What exonerates the innocent can still condemn the guilty.
But there are 7000 capital cases waiting ~ or should be.
