My mother died of cancer when I was a child, and I mostly remember her being sick. But she loved the Moody Blues, especially this song, and when she had a good day, she would sing it to me and dance around the house. I adore this song. I do love Big Yellow Taxi. We have the Amy Grant version on our spool at work and I can't help but sing it to myself whenever it's on.
Paint it Black-Stones
Black is Black- Los Bravos
(shameless self promotion)
Pink-Aerosmith
Deep Purple by Artie Shaw. Or Paul Whiteman. Or Nino Temple and April Stevens. Doesn’t matter. I love it.
