I don't agree with everything Ron Paul says about foreign policy, but it is distressing how people thoughtlessly discount his warnings against perpetual international adventures. Paul's warnings are a lot more credible in the light of history. I think people would do well to read Paul Kennedy's Rise and Fall of the Great Powers before they so quickly dismiss Congressman Paul.

I agree with Paul on the dangers of military overreach abroad, but some of what he says, such as our culpability for 9/11, is truly noxious.
