Ted Nugent understands he that likely wont have an official position in close friend Rick Perrys 2012 presidential campaign the Nuge himself admits hes far too outspoken of a right wing rabble-rouser to be productive for the Texas Governors cause but that sure as hell doesnt mean Nugent is avoiding politics in an important election year. Nor is he ignoring rock n roll.
In fact, Nugent is looking at new ways to combine the two.
The so-called Motor City Madman is already booking next years tour to be the most effective in its geographical impact and its statement in political terms, likely meaning hell be targeting key swing states when he hits the road in 2012. And while Nugent realizes he must hold back when stumping alongside Perry, he knows his stage is his chance to say exactly what he thinks.
That bully pulpit can also have a serious tone to it, Nugent explains. But on a rock n roll stage, I can tell Hillary Clinton to straddle my machine gun. The more something causes problems with people, the more Ill say it cause its rock n roll and you can eat me. But thats a rock n roll show. I know how to change the tone. If you can differentiate between what goes on on a rock n roll stage and a dialogue . . . then we can actually move forward.
See our review of Teds recent swing through UCRs home state of Ohio right here.
Ted Nugent....RINO lover.
(sarcasm)
HEY TEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEMPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEST!
I always did like Blackie. His support of John McCain not so much.
Well Nuge will be stumping for him on his upcoming tour.
I don't want to make Palin fans' heads explode, but since you mentioned Perry, Palin and Nugent all in one post, here's a pic of Nugent and Palin at a PERRY rally:
Sarah likes Perry too.
Ted didn’t eactly wear his “sunday-go-to-meetin” boots, did he?
:)
Alice Cooper apparently also likes Perry!
He can knock the balls off a charging RINO at 50 paces
What balls...?
Waiting for Alice Cooper’s endorsement. And Sammy Hagar.
Classic, that pic should be in its own thread. A big DUHHHHHHHHHHHHH moment for all the regular suspect, thread spamming PalinBots.
Piper Palin steals every pic she is in!
What balls?
The Nuge does like the Palins, but he seems to have firmly jumped on the Perry bandwagon.
He, like many of us with half a brain, knows that Palin either ain’t running, or ain’t gonna win if she does.
The hard rock and metal wings of rock and roll tend to be considerably more conservative, or at least libertarian, than other genres in my experience.
Country, of course, has always been largely conservative.
Gene’s daughter is like a typical airhead liberal chick...but she might come around.
Gene himself is more libertarianish in nature but seems rather non-ideoligical, basically, he cares about Israel’s place in the world, hence his support.
Gives me a reason to dust off my WASP CD’s.
Not anymore.
That’s why she’s gonna endorse him.
*runs*
Most important thing of all.
The Nuge plays a Gibson.
Most important thing of all.
