If fences are so good, why not put up a 20 foot one on the North Korea/South Korea DMZ. That should allow a few troops to be sent home because the fence should do the job. Not!

The fence that India built has also been extraordinarily successful at reducing cross-border attacks by Pakistani infiltrators.
Of course the Israeli security fence has dramatically cut down terrorist attacks too.
Somehow it just can't work here though. Weird.
