Michele Bachmann campaign manager Ed Rollins is stepping into an advisory role and deputy manager David Polyansky is leaving the campaign, Rollins said Monday.
Rollins, whos 68 and had a stroke a year and a half ago, cited health reasons for his decision.
"I just don't have the endurance to go 12 to 14 hours a day, seven days a week anymore," Rollins told CNN's Anderson Cooper on Monday.

Rollins said he still has great affection for Bachmann and pledged to give her counsel moving forward.
"At the end of the day, I'm not going away," Rollins said.....

Having no record whatsoever would make Bachmann by default a better pick than Perry, IMO. But she does have a record in office as one of the most stalwart conservatives on Capitol Hill.
“Palin is still more of a divider than a uniter; Reagan was a uniter......”
Boy have you got that all messed up.
Reagan, as the lone Conservative in the field, sparked all sorts of divisive debate both within and outside of the Republican Party in his time. As does Sarah Palin in hers.
The only thing different this time is that top tier candidates are attempting to wrap themselves in the Big C Conservative blanket.....Reagan was the only one in his era......Sarah is the only real one in hers. (appologies to the many 2nd tier Big C Conservative candidates, I wasn’t talking about them.)
Posting half truths doesn’t advance your small c conservative favorite candidate.
Sarah Palin, a Real Conservative, accept no substitutes....
Remember the Palin movie, "The Undefeated"?
Before it entered the competition of the Real World, the Palin supporters predicted on Free Republic that it would rival "Citizen Kane" and "Casablanca".
After it entered competition in the Real World, "The Undefeated" did not even survive Week 2 beyond Agust 11 in theaters and a foreign lauguage film, "Sarah's Key" absolutely slaughtered "The Undefeated" WITH 45 TIMES THE GROSS at the box office.
"Whatever" is the excuse of those who cannot back up their arguments with reality.
I back up my post with facts.
Sarah's Key ----- Domestic Total as of Sep. 5, 2011: $5,260,696
The Undefeated (2011) ----- Domestic Total as of Aug. 11, 2011: $116,381
You back up your "rubbish" claims with ...... What?

My candidate is also Sarah Palin.
I like Michele Bachmann very much as a speech giver at TEA party rallies, and as a member of Congress. Moving up to the White House would have been classic Peter Principle.
Her acceptance of Ed Rollins as her campaign chair was a glaring example of her lack of experience/knowledge of the wider world of campaigning.
I do not even want to imagine who and what she would have in her White House.
“Good for her..now it sounds like she’s ready to kick it up a few notches.”
And she’s already been doing very well, as you know. She’s one of the three front runners, imagine how well she’ll do when she, as you say:
“it sounds like she’s ready to kick it up a few notches.”
“no track record of executive experience”
Unlike Jimmy Carter.
Necessary does not imply sufficient.
I just don't believe if Sarah Palin is on the GOP ticket for CIC she's not going to take Florida, South Carolina, Ohio or Iowa. Missouri will be in play as well as Texas.
And I know it’ not a game. I know the evil of the Left. I am a member of the Tea Party. I just don't believe she is electable.
JMHO.
Evidently loyalty, perserverence and character and keeping one’s word are things of antiquity.
It is understood when you become part of a campaign, you are in it for the long haul. At least it should be.
Haha, I forgot about how “The Undefeated” was going to set the world on fire, and then all the benighted masses would have the scales from their eyes, and see that Sarah was the Chosen One. Lol
If Bachmann were to bow out of the race, would she be more likely to throw her support to Palin or Perry?I don't think that matters so much these days. The people who I know who support Bachmann (and I do myself, to a certain extent), aren't the type of people who are going to listen to Bachmann on who they should support if she ends her campaign.
Bachmann supporters aren't Bachmann robots. Each of them will make up his/her own mind on who to support if Bachmann drops out.
“Mr. Rollins not only attacked Gov. Palin about the same time that he took the job with Rep. Bachmann, but attacked Rep. Bachmann earlier in the year.”
Rollins was against Palin even before Bachmann’s campaign. But Michelle probably picked him because he worked with Reagan.
When someone says he is running an ‘unconventional campaign’ it’s another way of saying “I really don’t have a clue what I am doing.”
