I was just working at a gov’t site and telling the guy there I could help pick out the guy’s that don’t work to be the next to get laid off.
He agreed. He said he was at a job meeting and the shop forman was PLEADING with his guys. “Come on guys. If you give me just 4 hours of a work a day we can get back on schedule - just 4 good hours of work!” (BTW - they work 10 hour days, a four day week).
He said he has to plead, ‘cuz if he yells at them he’ll have the union on his back.
I’m a non-union type who has had to work around union types. The term prima donnas always comes to mind.
