Thank you for your response.

I fail to see your point. Another poster said something which to me sounds a whole lot like the New Hampshire state motto. I know that, because I heard it referred to by Governor Palin speaking today live on CNN.

You asked whether the poster was planning violence against the US government. A rather loaded question, I’ll let the poster answer on his or her own behalf.

However when I pointed out the reference almost literally to the New Hampshire state motto, you then answered me as well, with a rather loaded question whether GOVERNOR PALIN was advocating revolution.

Listen to yourself. This board is about freedom.

You responded you feel that the question about the New Hampshire license plates is somehow “out of context”.

How so?

The state motto is on the NH license plates. It is the motto Palin referred to, and it sounds a whole lot like what the original poster said.

It’s patriotic boiler plate. This is a patriotic site.

I’m quite certain that is not what the original poster was saying, and I’m quite certain that’s not what Governor Palin was saying.

Go watch the speech and decide for yourself. It was carried on CNN in its entirety.

As for “caucus” threads, you won’t get any support for such a thing from me. I’ve defended free speech by Palin detractors on this very forum, this very weekend.

I asked you why were on the thread. You answered, then left. Fair enough, if incomplete.

I appreciate you coming back to continue the discussion, but excuse me please if I am skeptical about your answer. You seem to have an agenda, frankly.

Thank you, and FReegards in return to you.

I’m not a Palin supporter...I’m not currently anyone’s yet. I “lean” towards Palin and Bachmann. I would feel comfortable with either of these women....but must admit that I would be more so with Palin. Perry is OK, but there is a level of distrust I “feel” about him. It is not dislike, just uncertainty. Now I’ve finished the disclamers.

I want Sarah Palin to run, even IF she might lose. She generates a level of interest that I believe is essential to the GOP, plus her presence will keep the candidates from moving “centrist.” I want as ideologically pure conservative as possible to represent the GOP....someone I can vote “FOR” not someone to use to vote against Obama.

Good to know.

“I appreciate you coming back to continue the discussion, but excuse me please if I am skeptical about your answer. You seem to have an agenda, frankly.”

I do have an agenda. I do enjoy poking those that eat, sleep and breathe Sarah (or frankly any politician) as if she (they) were a religion. I also have an agenda of trying to get Obama defeated. The nominee must be able to bring in disaffected Dems and win indies over Obama or they will lose and this nation will have to suffer four more years.

This is unacceptable.

I’m out for a while, good day to ya.

“The fanaticism of ones supporters is no indication of how much actual support and appeal they will actually have.”

We need the entusiasm she inspires. Even IF she should not ultimately win. I hope she runs. I think her running is good for the GOP. She doesn’t “inspire” me per se, but the fact that she does others is significant to me. As it stands now, she or Bachmann will get me vote when the primaries reach my state. I will vote for Perry in a general election, but I won’t be that pleased to do so...at least at this stage. My perceptions are always subject to change. I cannot imagine ever voting for Romney. I m 57 and have always voted for the GOP nominee in a general election.....I will probabbly vote third party or leave the ballot blank if Romeny gets the nomination. I consider him an equal evil to Obama.

That sounds like a liberal (AKA “centrist”) to me. I’ll have no part of it. Idiot liberal “Republican” or idiot liberal “Democrat” are the same thing in my eyes.

I’m not a Palin “supporter” per se. But she will get my vote....only Bachmann is the other I would currently vote for in a primary.

Is it just me or is anyone else beginning to think that pragmatism is destroying our political process...

I started out back in May thinking that Sarah Palin and Rick Perry would make a fine team to represent the Republican Party in 2012 against Obama/Biden.

As Governors of our two largest energy producing states they seemed to be a natural fit and a winning combination. They already knew each other, shared many of the same core principles, and were good at retail politics.

Initially I had in mind a Palin/ Perry ticket:

Photobucket

But once Perry entered the race and it began to appear that Palin might not, I begin thinking more in terms of a Perry/Palin ticket:

Photobucket

That's pretty much where I stand today, although I have found the anti-Perry vitriole coming from self-identified Palin supporters to be a bit offputting.

Well, I'm offline for awhile, so enjoy the rest of your day, Longbow. Pleasure chatting with you! :)

I agree with you. IF you make your choice of a candidate based upon who you think can win, verses who you like and agree with. Well, you might get someone who will “win” but in reality you actually have lost....if your values and things important to you are neglected.

I don’t like extremelism either, but it cannot be ignored. Also, as I “read” Sarah Palin, there is NO WAY she is ever going to be second banana to ANYONE again. She will either run for POTUS all the way, are she won’t run at all.

“she is more interested in remaining a celebrity rather than becoming a serious politician”

This statement by you proves that you don't know Sarah Palin at all.

It reminds me of the line from the movie “Frantic” with Harrison Ford. The police investigator is suggesting that maybe his missing wife might be off having a fling with an old flame and Harrison Ford’s character says to him “you must be thinking of YOUR wife”.

You must be thinking of YOUR candidate,(Perry?)

Sarah is the real deal. Not in it for fame & fortune. You insult her integrity and if you were here I would punch you in the nose or challenge you to a duel.

"But of that day [which she announces], I tell you, no man knows the day or the hour, not the Democrats, not the Republican National Committe, nay, not but Sarah and Todd know. For as Bristol hath said, some things have to stay in the family." Sarah 20:12

Cheers!

Were she to serve as Vice President in a Perry administration for eight years she would be far and away the presumptive nominee in 2020. Imagine a future, beginning in 2013, with 16 years of Sarah Palin in the Executive Branch! :)

This statement by you proves that you don't know Sarah Palin at all.

If Governor Palin wanted to be a serious presidential candidate this time around, she would have done the things absolutely necessary to accomplish that. She'd have started by not quitting her job as Governor, she wouldn't be doing reality TV shows and associating herself with the likes of Kate Gosselin, she wouldn't be doing hit and run appearances whenever something high profile is going on with the actual declared candidates, she'd be building the necessary organizations in all 50 states needed to really compete, etc.

Palin is not doing any of the things necessary to be a presidential candidate. And all this "oh it would be an unconventional campaign" stuff is just fluff. As a candidate she would have to do the same retail politics and organization building every other candidate has to do. Facebook posts just aren't going to get it done.

You must be thinking of YOUR candidate,(Perry?)

Perry or Bachmann seem to both be good options at this point. If Palin actually runs I could certainly support her, but it's clear she isn't going to.

You insult her integrity and if you were here I would punch you in the nose or challenge you to a duel.

Spoken like an SEIU goon.

Because it’s a blatantly obvious passive/aggressive put-down of Palin supporters, meant to discourage and suppress. And it’s baloney.

I agree, good article.

Sarah Palin is a class act that will never play second fiddle to another again. Besides, her recent speeches would indicate she is not in agreement with Perry’s cronyism (he has a history of it - it isn’t a show stopper for me - but her words would indicate it is what she stands against). She won’t be Perry’s VP. She will either run or she won’t run....but she isn’t going to be a VP candidate again.

That being said....I do not know if she is running or not. Or if she is simply attempting to bring about some reformation in the GOP.

Honestly, most people that are not Palin supporters will not bother to post on the Palin threads. Who wants to be called troll, RINO, globalist, etc for daring to question anything Palin may say or do, or question her “popularity.”

If I need to talk to Palin supporters, I can find plenty of them on the Perry threads.

How true that is! Nosy little nebbishes, aren't they. Oops, probably shouldn't have said that, I might get called a troll on my own thread! :o)
