STARWISE, for now and for so long as SP is a FNS employee/ contractor they have to be extremely cautious. There’s those FCC licenses to worry about. If FNS featured this or any other Palin speech, they would either be accused of bias or be obligated to show every other candidate and potential candidate’s speeches. They have to walk a very fine line that CNN doesn’t have to worry about.

There’s been lots of buzz here and elsewhere about an announcement on Constitution Day, which just happens to be a few days before the Fox-sponsored debate in Orlando. We shall see.

But as I understand it, those equal time rules wouldn’t go into force until and if she DOES officially enter, no?

Palin's speech is news. Fox should report it.

Fox's first obligation is to report the news and not to keep one of their staffers employed.
