No...we are hundreds of miles away from the active fires down towards Austin right now, thank God. Those poor people...it’s just awful.
We just live in an area that is a high danger zone because of the terrain,trees,grass, etc. I get nervous everytime the fire threat level goes up. Another bad thing today is that the wind is blowing straight towards our neighborhood and there is a big nature area that I always worry about just a few blocks north.We live on the side of a very wooded hillside too.

Thanks for your prayers though...our whole state needs them right now. At least it cooled off in recent days. What little moisture we put out doesn’t immediately evaporate anyway.

I can understand your concern. I just saw a drought map of Texas. Knew Texas was having a drought, but had know idea the entire state was “severe.”
