She’s talking about ‘hearing other candidates’. I can’t tell if it’s just encouraging people to take other points of view or challenging people to see that she’s got answers the other candidates don’t have.
That’s a worry.
Not really. If you listen to all the candidates, and then try an align which ones who follow Tea Party principles, the choice is much easier.
I was a bit surprised with her “hearing others” line....what could this mean?
Her point was to hear from the candidates directly, not through a media filter. She uses that also to keep the door open to GOP candidates - and perhaps to force some of the established political class into the open where their positions render them outside of TEA party range of acceptability.
I liked this speech far more than the Iowa speech. I think it did more to frame the debate and define the Tea Party.
I'd like to point out she was invited to DeMint's event 2 hours but it appears she's declined.
Perry accepted but left SC this hour after a townhall with Congressman Tim Scott and returned to Texas since the Austin area has 7 wildfires raging. The others will be there: Bachmann, Paul, Cain & Newt. Romney declined at first but flip-flopped when Perry topped him in the polls.
