If she enters, then we’ll know how she will do. Until then it’s speculation. Why couldn’t she shoot to the top, like Perry did?
To begin with, Perry is a highly accomplished, esteemed Governor with a strong, positive record. His fairly low name recognition ratings with very high positive image ratings, with his good speaking ability, caught the Public’s attention almost immediately.
Palin has been labeled and defined as inexperienced, a quitter, caries a 96% Name Recognition rating with very low positive image ratings as a candidate. She is not a very good public speaker and has a raspy, somewhat annoying manner of speaking.
Palin’s already well known image is her biggest obstacle. Her decision to remain aloof and non committal is also her biggest downfall. She pretty much blew it when she decided to to things “her way”. She can enter all she wants, but there is now little chance that she will go anywhere and it will also ruin her future in politics. She will suffer the same political fate as Thompson and Giuliani.
Somehow I think she knows this and is the main reason she is not already in the race. The polls clearly show it. I mostly hope she understands that if she gets in, it will do far more damage for our side in regards to winning back the White House.
