You would think he’d prefer a friendly audience, wouldn’t you ? The Congress is certainly not going to that. So what reason could he have ? I think it comes down to trying to reassert himself as the “Leader” with the Congress forced by custom to appear quiet and attentive. I hope the GOP isn’t overly polite about it. They should shake their heads in despair as to a slow learner every time he suggests more spending. They should not rise as he enters or leaves the room, and certainly not applaud no matter what he says. Unless of course he announces his entire administration including Biden is resigning effective immediately. That might be worth applauding.
He will say its their fault he can't get the economy going. The MSM will reinforce his message.
It will become the #1 talking point of every democRAT.
That doesn’t explain why he is determined to do this in front of a joint session of Congress instead of from the Oval Office or at some Labor Day speech. There’s only one reason to do it in front of Congress — to appear superior to them by being the only one allowed to speak while they are forced to sit politely and listen.
Anyone with an Obama sticker on their car might as well stamp ‘idiot’ in bold Edwardian script on their forehead.
I’ve seen some of them here in Mendocino County (CA), and, really, they look stupid even without “idiot” in bold Edwardian script.
As Bill Engvall says: Here’s your sign.
I think it´s the Quran.
