It’s refreshing to hear a concrete policy proposal out of Palin (eliminating the tax on corporations—very bold).

I heard the very same thing from Santorum on Friday.

I wasn’t insisting that this idea was unique to her, although I hadn’t known about Santorum. BTW, the first four points in Palin’s list may as well have been copied from Rick Perry, possibly others.

In addition, if a number of corporations are paying almost no taxes now (eg, GE, et al), why aren’t they hiring people here? Why are they still offshoring?

As yet, no one is talking about a thorough overhaul of our foreign trade policies. The 25-year old regime known as “free trade” (”rigged trade” would be a better name for it) is most responsible for killing job creation in the US. Maybe it made sense to do business with the Chinese once, but that set of policies has become the biggest “crony-capitalist “ racket out there, a veritable suicide pact. And none of the front-runners will talk about it explicitly. I doubt I’ll hear answers to any of these questions on here, since this site has become a bedlam of partisan screaming.
