Texas Gov. Rick Perry and his family have made presidential campaign trips aboard a jet owned by a wealthy contributor who is under investigation for possible securities fraud by Texas regulators and the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Perry, who has emerged in just weeks as the new frontrunner for the Republican presidential nomination, flew last weekend aboard Brian D. Pardo's Cessna Citation X jet from a remote Texas airport to various campaign events in Iowa, according to a Perry campaign aide and flight records obtained via Flightwise.com.

No reason for a zot.
Please don’t seek one, in my name anyway.
The best answer to zot speech, is more speech. :)
Even here, you're factually incorrect. It says the owner is under investigation, not that there's been an indictment.
You're sounding awfully paranoid and short of facts to support your wild accusations.
The Perry campaign leased an available airplane in a legal fashion.
You look like another using innuendo, 'gotcha' accusations and half-truths to run down actual candidates while waiting for Palin to make up her mind. You may have listened to her yesterday but you didn't hear her message.
All other candidates seem to be part of that class.
Herman Cain?
Seem to have hit a nerve. Again WHO are WE?
Does that includ Sarah:
Palin wrote Tuesday that the decision to fly to some book signings was made by HarperCollins because traveling by plane between some stops would save time and energy and allow me to go to more events.
Economically speaking for HarperCollins, its more efficient to travel by charter, and I am very grateful to the publisher for providing my family and me with this incredible opportunity to shake hands with as many Americans as possible on this book tour, Palin wrote.
If youre scratching your head wondering why my flight and hotel logistics warrant news coverage, join the club, Palin added. They can, of course, report on whatever they like, but in my opinion CBS loses whatever professional integrity it still has when it links in its report to a website devoted to the bizarre conspiracy theory that Im not the real mother of my son Trig.
I suspect that all here would vote for any of the Rep. hopefuls before the current White House occupant. How about we all wait until the actual primaries when we can vote for our favorite. Then, when we have a candidate, we can turn the venom spigot on full force against the real opponent.
How is ANYONE supposed to know who is undert SEC investigation?? Does Perry say..”Hey friend....are you under investigation?”
WHO are you supporting???? Please answer truthfully.
Hey, President Oblame-0 tried to warn us about those evil jet airplane owners.
That's an observation worth repeating. Well said.
There's much to like in Perry, and in Bachmann and Cain as well. There a lot MORE to like in Palin.
Exactly and we can’t forget White Water. Wonder if this Brian Pardo is any kin to Don Pardo? Just askin’ to show my total “UN-interest” in this gem of a slam on Perry. :)
I’m a Palin supporter, but I have to say, this is weak. There are other concerns about Perry that merit civil discussion.
I don’t think Perry is a bad candidate, to me he seems like Bush II. I liked George Bush, actually. But I think we can do better.
The view from the cheap seats.
IMHO this thread is a microcosm of what leadership is all about.
We are faced with a contest between our own, to select a champion to defeat someone who is the very antithesis of everything which is good and right about America.
Obama represents the very essence of the sort of central government, tax the subjects system our founders threw off.
We face a contest between right and wrong. Our champion should genuinely represent the best of “right” in that looming showdown.
Their representative in this battle, represents the wrong. Obama came to his current position not by merit, but by deception. He has hidden his rather questionable past, and won the elections he was been involved in by figuratively eliminating his competition. His senate seat for example, by means of a media-assisted scandal which removed his challenger from the race. He surrounds himself with incompetent lackeys, who do his bidding, and never had an intelligent thought in their brainwashed lives.
We should adopt the opposite approach. Our contest should match our most capable candidates, honestly and without deceit, strength up against strength.
Straight up, let the best candidate win. I’ll be honest and confess I’ve supported Palin since the first time I learned of her. I want her to win, against her challengers and yes, even against Rick Perry. Whoever wins, will then have strong, credible and quality people around them (her) from which to build a focused, driven and intelligent administration to turn America around.
I’m very glad Perry is showing strong.
We have a clash of titans approaching. First on our own side, then the real battle next year.
Perry could beat Palin. I’m ok with that, though I don’t believe he will. He does though match Palin up against a truly powerful opponent. She’ll need to bring her “A” game to this contest.
I happen to believe her “A” game is going to be better than any we’ve previously seen. Perry will make Palin work for the victory - and our party will emerge from that contest strong and engaged.
Nobody wins if we go the Obama route. To this day, he has continued to “win” by the dishonest, underhanded accomplices in the media and bureaucracies.
Obama has never faced a truly good opponent. He’s been sand-bagged his entire life.
I say, let our guys compete against the BEST each has to bring to the ring. Let them show us what they’ve got.
When that contest is over, we’ll have our champion.
I have been following Sarah Palin for 3 years now, more than I can say for the PERRYBOTS who didn’t even know who he was just a few weeks ago, and now think that he’s the saviour, but close their eyes and turn a blind eye when they see the truth come out. Tell me who is the “blind follower”?
Oh, I wasn’t calling for one here. Just making a prediction that as one of the GOP candidates gets more traction — right now it is Perry, but there’s a long way until the election, so who knows who it will be — we’ll see more and more spam and concern troll postings, and we’ll see more and more righteous zots. It happens before every big election because Free Republic really has become influential enough to draw the trolls in large numbers...
Cain’s record is about one thousandth that of Palin.
Why are you accusing others of smearing Perry because a fact emerges you wish had stayed unpublished?
Watch out ... aircraft owners are only a few steps away from those horrible capitalists. Aviation is one of the best examples of personal freedom combined with personal responsibility. And unless it’s the pilots flying B0B0, the Missus, and his minions around, he doesn’t care much for us.
The politics of envy is anti-American.
Nothing “unpublished”. Just pointing out the hypocracy that’s all.
