Charles Krauthammer on Fox News's "Special Report" Friday offered Republicans a 2012 campaign slogan to defeat Barack Obama.
"President Zero: zero economic expansion, zero jobs, zero ideas on how to cure the economy"
CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER, SYNDICATED COLUMNIST: That assumes the speech he thinks will turn the economy around. This is not that speech. This is to frame the debate for his reelection. This is not a serious jobs proposal. It will include things he knows Republicans will reject. And thus he sets up the premise, because his own White House has now said we are going to be nine percent up employment next year as well. The premise will be we are at nine percent on election date because the obstinate Republicans who care only about reelection and not about the country have rejected the great ideas he is proposing. Look, I think the Republicans have their perfect slogan - President Zero: zero economic expansion, zero jobs, zero ideas on how to cure the economy. The recession ended two years ago. We were supposed to have a recovery summer last summer. In the numbers you showed, the unemployment, the slowdown in jobs started at the beginning of this year. He threw $1 trillion dollar stimulus at the economy assuming you'd have a Keynesian effect, a multiplier effect. It didn't.
And at the same time he piled up regulation on regulation, spending on spending, Obamacare, EPA, the financial regulations. He has his foot on the economy. And he doesn't understand that his administration has stopped the recovery in its tracks.
Yes, but Obama still has all of his devoted fans in the media.
So he's got that going for him - which is nice.

hey KRAUTHAMMER, bout time you noticed
Dr. Krauthammer must lurk here on Free Republic, we’ve been call him Zero for years.
FRaid you're a bit late ;)
This really isn’t news. Krauthammer should be getting in line behind Sarah Palin, who is leading all conservatives with her statements today.
Governor Palin is calling out the permanent political class, the crony capitalists and the corrupt.
Why can’t Krauthammer start talking about cutting edge issues, like the damage done by the permanent political class?
Krauthammer needs to spend some time outside the Beltway. I bet most of his audience have known about 0 for years.
Wow, Krauthammer just totally copied Herman Cain.
In is press statement Friday, Herman said,
“Sadly, the fact that zero jobs were created last month is only fitting for this administration, which is led by a President with zero leadership, zero plans, zero results and zero understanding of basic economics. And the American people are worse off because of it.”

yeah.. the difference is, CK said it perfectly with good grammar, style and substance. Palin just reads off bullet points and sounds like a soccer mom, in my opinion. Cain is a good man, and a very smart man. Our side has the ideas and just needs the great communicator. Cain and Palin are not that, in a long shot.
GOP is so clueless and inept in the fight against domestic marxism that its own website's wallpaper is commie red.
Marxists need to be investigated, jailed, and hounded out of federal elective office and unions stripped of their ability to steal dues from workers paychecks.
Time is running out.
If you don’t think Herman Cain is a good communicator you have neither heard him speak, nor watched the audience respond to him. Krauthammer doesn’t inspire even close to what Cain does in any stretch of the imagination.
The point here is STILL that he just stole this idea and gave no credit to the source.
This is what happens when a “community organizer” is elected to be the president of the United States.
If the _resident were merely a zero, a cipher, a nothing, that wouldn’t be so bad. Obummer is a negative.

I feel bad for all the folks that are out of work...but having the jobs number come out to exactly ZERO is poetic....
Drinking game: Take a drink every time you hear a candidate say “zero” during the debate.
We'd be better off with more soccer moms who have made payroll and less pundits who have been in Washington DC for forty years.
+1, cat — spot on!
that is a very good point!
