Sorry, but that's an incorrect generalization. Neither Michelle Bachmann nor Herman Cain support any type of amnesty or "path to citizenship". Cain is for relatively open immigration, Bachmann is not.
Obfuscation is not helpful or acceptable when we're trying to decide who's fit or unfit for the highest office in the land.

Until the entitlements have been properly handled, amnesty is insane.
Politicians want votes. Amnesty would add a lot of new voters who could be counted on to vote for the people who gave them amnesty. Politicians supporting amnesty are putting their personal political interests ahead of the interests of the American people.
Politicians putting their personal political interests ahead of the interests of the American people is exactly how the unconstitutional entitlement programs began and have relentlessly expanded.
