How do they “Own property on the other side?”

I was under the impression that Mexico doesn’t allow foreign citizens to own property?

That's an incomplete understanding. They don't allow foreign ownership of property a certain distance from the coastlines. If I wanted to buy property in Hermosillo, Sonora, I could. But I'd never do that because I don't trust them to allow me to keep it in the future. I'm a bit concerned about Democrats here, come to think of it.

It’s extremely limited, almost impossible to own property in mexico if you’re a foreigner.
