This is how I look at the situation. The boy was fifteen. Granted, he is a teen but still a child. The teacher is in a position of power. Plain and simple... teachers have more power over their students than one can imagine. A teacher can give you a failing mark, request a suspension/expulsion, etc. An ADULT (male or female) that has power over a child, shouldn’t use that power to gratify their own sexual needs. Seriously.. what real woman would even be interested in a 15 year old kid? Is it a way to “prove” to herself that she is still sexy, still like a high school Prom queen? Is she such a nympho that only a teen would have sex with her? There is obviously something psychologically wrong or warped morally with this woman.

The article mentions that the teen was having some problems/issues prior to the encounter(s). Did the teacher focus on an easy target? A kid that either wouldn’t be believed or would not use reason to make his decision.

I also wonder about the parentage of her two children. The article didn’t make mention of a husband... could this teen now be responsible for bringing one or two lives into the world?

I see it more like a Mom (and yes, I have a 15 year old son). First, he wouldn’t go with a teacher. No matter what. Most teens that age see anyone over 30 as “old”. Secondly, anyone with a 15 year old son knows this: he may be big and a teen but in many ways, they are still very young and naive. They still need guidance. The same 15 year old kid who does something mature and responsible will be the same 15 year old kid that suddenly does something juvenile. Most importantly, he has learned from us that hormones can lead to undesirable consequences like STD’s and the abortion of a potential child.

You can call me silly. You can call me old fashioned. You can call me “out of touch” but never... not in a million years, would I ever “high five” a situation where a child is seduced by a mature adult and call it “part of manhood”.

Yes, yes its seen different as a Mom, but I think you are over-reading it. There are no straight 15 YO boys who would turn her down!

This is nothing more than about sex, for both. Power, my hinney.

Now if we were talking about a 40 YO male teacher and a 15 YO girl, you would be absolutely right.

Regardless what anyone wants to pretend, males and females are different, especially when 15 and flush with testosterone.
