I support Palin, so I’m in the thread about her speech I just watched.

Well, that's certainly news to me. When did you come around?

I’ve supported Palin since she was picked to be the VP in 2008. Since then, the only time I’ve really argued against her on this board was when she complained about the use of the word “retarded” in a political context. I am vehemently opposed to trying to ban words from our political conversation, especially when people know what is meant.

Realise that after the 2008 election, there was not much need for another person defending her, she’s got a lot of supporters. I did some arguing in the McCain endorsement threads, and a couple of other threads. I’ve never said anything against her possibly candidacy.

Of course, I can support multiple candidates, until we reach my state’s primary. So I’ve defended Bachmann, and more recently, Perry. Plus, I decided this year that I was going to always have at least one announced candidate I was considering, because of the Thompson thing from 2008. For a while that was Bachmann, and now I’m considering Perry.

But I’ll always have a place in my heart for Sarah Palin. Even if she doesn’t run for President, she’ll be a major force in our 2012 triumph, and her plan could well shape the election. She might get dozens of representatives and senators elected ALL endorsing her plan, meaning she’ll have dozens of votes; a candidate can only have one vote.
