You could say that this psychological group is “looking through the glass (mirror) wrongly” as they have a distorted view of what is right, what is wrong and what the meaning of liberty is. To me liberty means the right not to be imposed upon as well as the responsibility not to impose upon. And only a morally good and Godly people can balance as lofty a right as liberty.
You are absolutely right. Sometimes the idea of liberty is distorted for the benefit of those who live on the fringe. (by fringe, I am taking a hard core definition). For example, this same group would say it is a “liberty” to sell babies, toddler, children to be raped. It is a “freedom”, right? It is certainly pushing the extreme sense of the word. Freedom and liberty does go hand in hand with how it affects other people... especially negatively.
