It’s always the fault of White people. This is a liberal axiom.
Suppose you were born in 1980. Yes, it is your fault that there was slavery in America, which hasn’t existed in 150 years.
It is your fault that there was segregation which hasn’t existed in the South since 1965 and which hasn’t existed in the North since the aftermath of the Civil War.
We’ve had a black president, a black attorney general, a black secretary of state, a black secretary of defense ... black people control many of the counties in which they live, many of the cities in which they live, in fact, many of the countries in which they live.
Deval Patrick is the governor of Massachusetts. Patterson was the governor of New York.
So Detroit didn’t work out to well under black people ... that’s the fault of White people too, even though Detroit and Highland Park ... mysteriously used to function like actual cities.
Birmingham, Alabama is on the verge of filing for the largest municipal bankruptcy in American history. It has been under the rule of black people since the late 1970s.
Why is Birmingham going bankrupt? That too is the fault of White people. Just like Haiti and Zimbabwe are the fault of White people.
Oh, so you are telling me the integrated schools didn’t work, the housing projects didn’t work, the food stamps and the welfare check didn’t work, the Section 8 housing didn’t work.
That also is the fault of White people.
If only Don Lemon or Al Sharpton were on television, black people wouldn’t be in the situation they are in today. If only Jesse Jackson was taken seriously ... we wouldn’t find ourselves in this predicament.
By its very nature, liberalism is impervious to reality. It is an ideological take on the real world. It is based on fantasies.
So, if you are a fantasist, then yeah, this could very well be Bush’s fault. When Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, that was George W. Bush’s fault. When Obama’s stimulus package failed that he promised would succeed, that was also Bush’s fault.
Being a victim means never having to take responsibility for your own actions. It is always the fault of someone else. It is a comforting mindset, I am sure.
Excuse me - for my information - who was the black Secretary of Defense?
When you look at who has been in charge of the government for the last 200 years, I would have to agree with you. It wasn't the black or hispanic population that ushered in the "New Deal." or Raw Deal, if you want to label it correctly. It's easy to scapegoat minorities, but we should be honest in laying the blame at the feel of progressive do-gooders responsible for creating un-constitutional handout programs and policies.
That's why it's so important to instill and uphold a moral principle in our children, no matter the color or ethnicity, that says it is not okay to steal from your neighbor, that it's not okay to kill the unborn, that it's wrong to cheat, that charity begins at home, and is where it should reside. And lastly, if you would eat, then you will work for your bread, and be rewarded for your efforts.
VICTIMHOODLUMS!!
