I’d like to see those numbers sorted out in terms of education, age, marital status, substance abuse. My guess is that black/white/hispanic matters a lot less than these factors.
Also keep in mind that a disproportionate number of blacks are government employees. In that survey cited, they counted 401K assets, but NOT the net equivalent present value of government pensions.
